Maverick Sabre is on the show on Wednesday!
He came into In:Demand towers to tell Alex about his new album ‘Lonely Are The Brave’. Tomorrow night you’ll be able to hear the total, unedited interview here. But to just get you interested, here’s some bits from the interview:
On his nomination for the Brits Critics Choice award:
‘I don’t have a clue how I got on there, but it was an honour. Emeli and Michael are two fantastic acts, they’re both gonna do great things this year, so a little Irish boy being in the middle of that was grand’
On his success:
‘My first single went top 20 and the single after that went top 20. For me, I’m not really a person; I don’t really focus on the charts or anything like that, but for me that was a massive achievement for me personally. And since then I’ve done my first headline UK tour which was sold out, off the back really of the first single; Let Me Go. So yeah, there’s a lot of thing that’ve been picking up and then I’ve got the album coming out so I’m just delighted how everything’s been coming along.’
On his album ‘Lonely Are the Brave’:
‘I express myself through my music and I learn from the way I express myself through music. So it helps me in turn. You know ‘Let Me Go’ was about drink, which not a lot of people knew. And when I listen back to the tunes I learn from them so it helps me out and helps me to grow and to become more of an adult.
