Blur Headline Olympics Closing Gig In Hyde Park

Britpop legends Blur will headline the Olympics Closing Ceremony Celebration Concert in London’s Hyde Park this summer.
Three years on from their renowned reunion shows on the very same field, Blur will play their only major gig of 2012 there on Sunday 12th August.
Damon Albarn and co. are joined by The Specials and New Order on what is being billed as a celebration of “The best of British.”
Tickets priced at £55 go on sale from Friday 24th February 2012 at 9.00am from btlondonlive.com.
The line-up for the Opening Ceremony Celebration Concert on Friday 27th July will be announced very soon.
In other Blur news, the band will collect their Outstanding Contribution to Music gong at The BRIT Awards at London’s O2 Arena tonight.
They’ll end the industry back-patting bash with a greatest hits set. You can watch proceedings on ITV1 from 8pm.
